ABOUT THE TITLE

In 1976 I asked my grandmother to record family history for me and finally, in 2010, I began genealogical research. I also acquired notebooks containing remembrances of her and my grandfather's life in Cameron County, PA. A small notebook had writings from a period when my grandmother was ill and delirious. One entry said simply "Fantastic electrisoil". This blog is a tribute to her and, in addition to including her writings, will tell stories of my venture into genealogical research.

Frances was my grandmother and a woman who took the time to create a personal historical record that I shared in my early posts. She lived from the late 1800s until the 1970s. I've borrowed her name for this blog. I don't incude specific source information for most posts, but if you need that info, just comment on the relevant post. I'll be happy to provide it.
